De-vegetation and site clearance

Clearing vegetation from sites, transport routes and landscapes

At Servtron Green Services, our aim is to preserve and enhance the natural environment by creating biodiverse habitats for generations to come.

Sometimes vegetation must be removed to support safety, access and responsible land management.

Site clearance and de-vegetation involve removing vegetation to provide a clear and safe area for your project.

Depending on the type of vegetation and the environment, our teams use a bespoke combination of methods including:

  • Manual clearance using chainsaws, brushcutters and other handheld equipment
  • Mechanical clearance using mulchers and excavators for larger sites
  • Chemical clearance for treating invasive plant species

Our de-vegetation teams work across highways, railways, construction sites, utilities, local authority land and private developments.

We remove vegetation to protect buildings, ensure the safety of the public, maintain transport infrastructure and prepare sites for construction.

For highways and local authorities, we ensure that visibility splays remain clear and that road signs, pathways and sightlines are unobstructed. Our work can also support boundary access and the maintenance of bridges, structures and fencing.

Where vegetation has become dense or overgrown, we can safely remove and manage it using specialist machinery and experienced operatives.

We work with our operational teams and environmental consultants to identify the most suitable approach for each location. This ensures clearance activities consider protected species, habitats and environmental restrictions.

Our consultancy team can undertake environmental assessments and ecological surveys where required. This may include protected species checks, nesting bird surveys and advice on licences or permits.

We also consider sustainability throughout the project. Vegetation arising may be chipped for reuse on site or removed for biomass where appropriate.
